Terms

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 19, 2026.

These Terms apply when you access the Leaf Kiln Atelier website, submit a commission inquiry, confirm a quote, pay for an order, or communicate with us about leaf-fired porcelain services. They are launch-stage transaction terms and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before large-scale commercial rollout.

Scope

Service scope and handmade variation

Leaf Kiln Atelier provides custom porcelain services centered on real leaf vein transfer, which may include atelier leaf selection, vessel recommendations, glaze and packaging suggestions, single-piece commissions, and quantity orders.

Images, examples, reference prices, and timelines shown on the site describe service direction. Formal orders depend on a confirmed quote, vessel plan, quantity, delivery scope, schedule, and payment record.

Leaves, glaze, kiln firing, and hand finishing create natural differences. Unless a specific written standard is agreed, finished pieces will not match samples, sketches, or previous cases exactly.

Materials

Atelier leaf options and material variation

Current products use atelier-selected leaf options. Available species may vary by season, vessel form, and firing schedule.

Each leaf species behaves differently in the kiln. We recommend compatible vessel forms and glaze colors based on vein clarity, leaf scale, and firing behavior.

Because the work is handmade, leaf impressions may vary in edge definition, tone, and surface depth.

Order

Quotes, payment, and order confirmation

Custom orders usually require requirement confirmation, a quote, and payment before production. Larger corporate or complex projects may require a deposit, staged approvals, or a separate agreement.

A website form or inquiry does not create a binding delivery obligation until we accept the order. After payment, an order may still need adjustment or cancellation with refund if materials are infeasible, pricing is mapped incorrectly, a clear system error occurs, or compliance issues arise.

Any subscriptions, ongoing services, or staged services must be described in the quote or order confirmation, including renewal period, cancellation method, and incurred costs.

Refunds

Cancellation, refunds, and remake work

Before production scheduling begins, and before dedicated materials or sampling are purchased, you may request cancellation and refund of unused fees.

Once leaf preparation, sampling, forming, firing, engraving, custom packaging, or bulk material preparation has begun, orders generally cannot be cancelled without cost. Refunds, if any, are calculated based on labor, materials, third-party fees, and whether work can be reused.

If we cannot deliver the main confirmed custom work for reasons within our control, we will discuss remake, replacement, or refund options. Costs caused by inaccurate customer information, delivery errors, or changes beyond the confirmed scope may be charged separately.

Delivery

Delivery, inspection, and care

Delivery timing depends on leaf option, vessel complexity, kiln batches, packaging, and quantity. We provide an estimate when confirming the order, but kiln behavior, weather, logistics, and supplier delays may affect delivery.

After receiving the piece, inspect the packaging and porcelain promptly. If there is shipping damage, wrong quantity, or an obvious quality issue, keep packaging, photos, and unboxing records and contact us within a reasonable time.

Unless stated otherwise, daily use, cleaning, microwave suitability, and dishwasher suitability depend on the included care instructions.

Rights

Intellectual property, case display, and liability

Site content, images, product descriptions, craft explanations, and page design belong to Leaf Kiln Atelier or their respective rights holders and may not be copied for commercial promotion or imitation sales without permission.

Leaf stories, message copy, brand information, and case photos you provide remain yours or the relevant rights holder's. Unless otherwise agreed, we may show completed work after removing sensitive personal information. Tell us before production or delivery if you do not want a piece shown publicly.

For delays or losses caused by force majeure, third-party service interruptions, payment provider issues, logistics problems, or inaccurate customer information, we will assist where reasonable, but liability is limited by applicable law and the confirmed order terms.

Contact

Contact and dispute handling

For questions about orders, support, privacy, or these Terms, contact us through the email shown on the site and include the order email, project summary, and relevant photos where possible.

We will try to resolve disputes through discussion first. If discussion fails, the matter should be handled according to the actual operating entity location and applicable law.
